Another section of canal totally neglected for far too long

Sent to Thamesmead less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6296446.

Has not been cleaned or maintained in years.

  • Thames21 are doing a clearance there on the 10th of this month with 30 volunteers and whatever remains will be taken out by boat afterwards.

    The canal is fenced off along that section and the reeds are there for a filter from the LF3 site and has never been cleared and we have no access by boat..

  • Facts:- 1) Section of canal is not fenced off. 2) There is / are slipways to enable boats to enter water. 3) This section has been cleared before. 4) LF3 site??? What is this???

  • This area has never nor will be cut back due to wildlife living in there

  • Wildlife lives on every stretch of the canal system, especially by trump, but you still regularly cut back and maintain these areas. So you answer appears to contradict what you do on other canal stretches
